Start/Stop system Deactivation

The concept behind the start-stop system is straightforward: when the vehicle is stopped for short periods of time, such as at traffic lights, engine is stopped as well, to decrease fuel consumption and reduce emissions.

However, when it comes to the durability and longevity of the vehicle, the start-stop system may not be your engine friend. The increased number of stop-start cycles leads to greater engine, starter gear, and turbine wear.
