Speed Limiter Deactivation

A speed limiter is a safety feature that is fitted to a vehicle to prevent it from exceeding certain pre-set speed limits, even if it is capable of reaching much higher speeds.

In most cases, speed limiters are simply electronic restrictions programmed into the engine control unit.

For certain classes of vehicles and in certain jurisdictions, it is a statutory requirement for manufacturers to set speed limiters for their vehicles.

However, in scenarios such as motorsport, these limiters may cause you to lose valuable seconds on the track.
